Department of Health and Human Services Releases Final HIPAA/HITECH Omnibus Rule January 25th, 2013Health IT On January 17, the Department of Health and Human Services released its long-awaited final HIPAA/HITECH Omnibus Rule implementing provisions of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA).
